Who knew this year would fly by so quickly... Exactly one year ago I was preparing to jump into my new life at Cornell University. And here I am, one year gone by.

So much experienced. So much learned.

Let's just say, I can't wait until next semester.

It's Official!

I'm going to be a Cornellian! I had no expectations when I applied to Cornell but dreams do come true. I always had people believing in me but it wasn't until I received that letter that I, too, began believing in myself. I will be following my dream of going into the fashion industry by majoring in Fiber Science & Apparel Design (the management track) at the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University. If there is one piece of advice I would give to incoming high school seniors it would be to not sell yourself short. SHOOT FOR THE STARS! I know that that is an incredibly cliche saying but it is 100% true. JUST DO IT! I guess I'm full of cliches tonight... Bonne nuit, mes amis!

ABC Day

Like I stated in my previous post, this week is Senior Week where we seniors dress up. Today was ABC (Anything But Clothes) Day. Because I spent so much time and effort working on my Holly Golightly outfit for Character Day, I did not participate. I did, although, see some pretty incredible creations throughout the day. In the picture below, you will see my peer, Esther, in a newspaper dress. I was in awe. I could tell the dress was well made. And the bow was such a perfect touch!

Holly Golightly

This week at my school is Senior Week! That just means that every day we are assigned different categories to dress up. Yesterday was Character Day and I went dressed as Holly Golightly from "Breakfast at Tiffany's." She is the epitome of elegance and I was absolutely thrilled to be her for a day. Everybody who knew who I was loved it.
